Meet Dr. Desiree

Wildflower Mobile Vet Dr. Poore Picture
Dr. Desiree Poore has called the North Texas area home since 2014, and is thrilled to have established roots in Texas (other than in August - it's hot! Or March - October...pick the year!).  She hails from the Land of Enchantment, and misses her horses and the New Mexico sunsets as much as the Chile, but loves the green, the rain, and Texas tradition.  After graduating from Oklahoma State University's College of Veterinary Sciences, Dr. Desiree spent a few years in Charlotte, North Carolina before returning to Texas.

During her career, Dr. Desiree has enjoyed working a clinic setting as an full-time and relief doctor, clinic manager, and in emergency medicine.  She is passionate about the human-animal bond, preventative care, and pain control.  She has pursued additional training in advanced diagnostics such as ultrasound and is completing training in acupuncture, served as the medical advisor for the education department of a national ultrasound company, and believes strongly in education and supporting the teams that make veterinary medicine so wonderful.

Her favorite part of a home based service is the relationships that are created with her patients and their people!  One of the biggest surprises after starting this business was how much more of their personalities that she gets to see when they are in their own environment instead of the clinic. The original intent of Wildflower was to help people say goodbye at home, and in 2025 has returned to that vision. She believes there is no sweeter gift to give to our four-legged loved ones than to say goodbye in a fear-free environment surrounded by the people, animals and things they love and know.

In her off time, Dr. Desiree can be found on the back of a horse (every chance she gets!), hiking or camping, crafting, or working on her photography skills.  Her favorite trip ever was to the natural beauty and purity of Alaska, and she can't wait to return.  She is involved in her church, participates in mission initiatives, and is recently completed her Master's in Organizational Leadership in her spare time.  She believes strongly that we each are given gifts to help the world around us, and feels lucky to get to work with animals who show us what unconditional love looks like.

Wildflower Mobile Vet Jackson Picture

Jackson is the Quality Control Officer, and would like to remind you that treats always make a day better, a tennis ball can be a guys best friend (as long as there is someone who will throw it for HOURS), and there is very little that sunbathing cannot help to fix.  :)

Scout is the resident culture coordinator - his only job is to make people smile and he does it well!  When he's not working, he can be found begging for cookies, rolling in the mud, and working towards his canine therapy certification. He would like you to know you never have enough four-legged kiddos running around, and treats can solve all the problems. If you are not sure, eat another one!  :)

Gracie is the napper of the bunch, and would like to remind you life is too short for stress. She wandered down the road after being dumped in the country, picked Wildflower and hasn't ever left. She is a true picture of God's "Grace" in our little corner of the world, and if she could share anything, it would be that it will all work out. ;)
